Official Operating Rules
Use this as your baseline.
Core concept: VistaONE is “more passive” than VistaX, but it still requires discipline.
Most blowups happen from lot size + margin misuse — not the software.
Non-negotiable: Never run multiple softwares on the same trading account at the same time.
If you want VistaX + VistaONE, use separate accounts and separate MT5 terminals.
1) What VistaONE Is (and Isn’t) Expectations
Understand what you’re actually running so you don’t misuse it.
- IS: Structured FX exposure across multiple pairs with longer cycles.
- IS NOT: Guaranteed profit, managed funds, signals, or “set and forget forever”.
- You control: broker, demo vs live, risk settings, and when to run/pause.
Diversification
Longer holds
Over-leverage risk
2) Setup Rules Clean install
Most “issues” come from the environment, not the software.
- Correct folder: Install into MQL5 → Experts → Advisors (where you place the .ex5).
- Official set file: Load the provided VistaONE set file. Don’t improvise parameters.
- VPS recommended: Stable connection + execution, no sleeping, fewer interruptions.
3) Risk Rules (Mandatory) This is everything
VistaONE can be smooth — until someone runs too big for the account.
- Lot size must match your plan: If it feels big, it is. Start conservative.
- Margin level matters: Don’t run near danger thresholds. Give the system room.
- Plan for drawdown: Longer holds can create longer drawdown periods. That’s normal — if sized correctly.
- Don’t change settings mid-cycle: Parameter changes during drawdown can break the logic.
Start conservative
Give room
No emotional scaling
4) Monitoring Rules Set + monitor
Passive doesn’t mean absent. Be responsible.
- Daily check: margin level, exposure, and any abnormal behavior.
- Weekly review: account health, cycle progress, risk alignment.
- No panic actions: don’t randomly close trades without a plan.
5) News & Volatility (Optional Filters) Smoother exposure
If you want lower volatility behavior, respect the calendar.
- Avoid major red-folder events if you want smoother cycles.
- FOMC periods: consider pausing if your tolerance is low.
6) Common Mistakes Read twice
- Increasing size during drawdown to “make it back”.
- Ignoring margin level until the broker forces action.
- Not using the official set file (inconsistent behavior).
- Running multiple softwares on one account at the same time.
